Ivan Harper is the founding principal of the Harper Group, opening for business in 2000.  Before the HG, Ivan had 20+ years of executive human resources management experience. 

Prior to establishing the consulting practice, Ivan was with the Bank One Corporation (JP Morgan Chase), where he worked in a variety of HR Management positions for 22 years.  His positions there included serving as the Director of HR for Bank One Credit Card, Bank One Payment Services, and Bank One Leasing Corporation.  He has been the primary HR official for several program development opportunities (Credit Card for AARP; joint venture with Bank One and First Data Corp; development of a Diversity Training Program, etc.)

In a corporate staff position (from 1991-1995), Ivan worked directly with 17 bank presidents and 6 senior corporate executives (Chairman, President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Mergers and Acquisitions EVP, and Marketing Executive), acting as an advisor and internal consultant.  He also has been in charge of college recruiting and has published articles in Careers and the MBA magazine.
 
Jeff Harper is the other principal partner of HG, bringing 10 years of experience in staffing and technology. Jeff has led teams of recruiters, salespeople, and project managers supporting leading companies' initiatives in growth and development.  He started in staffing as a recruiter with the Allegis Group (Areotek, Onsite, Teksystems) and became a leader within their sales and delivery organization. Jeff is a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), and an active member of the Global Employee Relocation Council (ERC), headquartered in Washington, DC.
 
After working for technology leading clients like WorldCom (MCI) and Lucent, Jeff moved back into staffing with Hudson Global Resources (formerly part of Monster.com) and helped them in a leadership role supporting major banking and financial organizations in the Midwest.  Jeff brings specific competencies in technology staffing for financial service organizations; teaching, training and leading recruiting teams, and assisting companies in attracting, locating, and providing opportunity for top industry talent.
